About Jean
For 7 years, I have helped College Students and Adult Learners strengthen their violin skills through supportive instruction and structured learning experiences. Watching students transform determination into confident performances continues to inspire my passion for teaching.
My teaching philosophy emphasizes posture, bow precision, rhythmic awareness, expressive phrasing, intonation accuracy, notation reading, and performance preparation. Practical guidance enables students to understand challenging techniques while developing strong musical confidence and technical ability.
Instruction is tailored around each student's goals, preferred repertoire, and current experience. Positive encouragement, structured progress reviews, and achievable milestones help learners enjoy lasting improvement while mastering the violin.

Students strengthen violin technique through progressive lessons that combine guided demonstrations, practical repetition, and engaging performance activities. Instruction includes posture alignment, bow control, finger placement, rhythmic precision, scales, shifting, vibrato preparation, sight reading, intonation, tone quality, and musical interpretation. Practical exercises improve coordination while encouraging confident and expressive violin performances.
Constructive coaching, personalized practice routines, and regular performance evaluations provide continuous support between lessons. Individual assignments reinforce technical skills, helping students refine musicianship while achieving measurable progress through focused and enjoyable violin practice.
