About Ava
My teaching methodology for singers focuses on vocal wellness, mindfulness, and long-term voice care, nurturing both sound and spirit. For The Soloist in Training, lessons begin with mindful breathwork and gentle warm-ups that prepare the voice with ease and intention. For The Church Ensemble Player, we emphasize balance—blending harmoniously while protecting vocal health through proper placement and steady breath support. Hydration, rest, and mindful posture are core habits I encourage to sustain a vibrant and healthy voice. Each lesson integrates moments of stillness to reconnect with the body and mind. Through mindfulness timers, guided breathwork tools, and vocal tracking apps, students can monitor progress and maintain calm between practice sessions. I teach singers to listen inwardly—to notice tension, release it, and let their natural tone emerge freely. Together, we focus on warm-ups that strengthen flexibility, hydration routines that enhance vocal comfort, and cooldowns that prevent fatigue. This approach allows both soloists and ensemble singers to meet their goals with clarity and peace. Singing should never feel forced—it should flow with joy, ease, and confidence. My goal is to help each student nurture a voice that lasts a lifetime, balanced by mental calm and the simple joy of singing from the heart.

With over 6 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Contemporary Music (Voice Major), I am passionate about helping singers find their unique voice and confidence. I specialize in preparing students for auditions, competitions, and stage performances with a focus on both vocal strength and expressive artistry. My approach combines technical precision with creativity, allowing each student to grow in both skill and performance presence.
I teach a wide range of styles including Classical, Broadway, Pop-Rock, and Music Theater, adapting lessons to fit each singer’s personality and goals. My expertise lies in diction, range development, vocal agility, repertoire selection, and dramatic interpretation—key elements that shape a complete performer. Whether you’re a school student discovering your sound, a drama major perfecting your craft, or an adult singer returning to music, I design lessons that meet you where you are and take you further.
Each session is a balance of technique, expression, and mindfulness, ensuring healthy and joyful singing. I believe every voice has a story worth sharing and deserves the tools to tell it beautifully. Together, we’ll build confidence, stage presence, and vocal artistry that lasts a lifetime.
