About Ilia
With 18+ years of experience as a violin tutor, I have taught learners from different age groups and backgrounds, including school students, college students, and working professionals. I enjoy sharing my passion for music and helping students achieve their goals.
My teaching approach focuses on building strong foundations while making lessons enjoyable and interactive. I believe that every student has unique strengths, and I adapt my teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
Over the years, I have successfully guided numerous students in improving their technique, rhythm, tone quality, and musical expression. Many of my students have gained confidence to perform at school events and personal gatherings.
One of my proudest achievements is seeing students develop discipline, confidence, and a genuine appreciation for music. I strive to make every lesson meaningful and inspiring for my students.

My teaching style for violin is centered on communication, flexibility, and practical engagement. I adapt lessons to each student’s learning style, abilities, and goals to ensure both technical and expressive skills are developed.
I emphasize posture, bowing, fingering, tone, intonation, phrasing, and expressive playing while encouraging creativity and personal interpretation. Lessons include real-life examples such as performing favorite pieces, playing along with recordings, and understanding music’s emotional impact.
I also teach supporting subjects such as music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight-reading, and basic piano skills to build comprehensive musicianship. My goal is to create a structured, motivating, and inspiring environment where students gain confidence and enjoy steady progress.
