About Latisha
Career switchers often come to my sessions worried about their technical limitations. It is funny, because they usually possess the strongest storytelling instincts from their previous lives.
I have spent 3 years teaching 47 students how to connect their life experience to their lyrics. Most students are complete beginners who need a bridge between their thoughts and a finished melody.
I help them map out POINT OF VIEW AND PERSPECTIVE with simple, effective exercises. HARMONY BASICS are not just theory to me; they are the colors we use to paint a mood.
We look at BUILDING DYNAMICS across a song to ensure the listener stays engaged. Writing to a brief is a skill I emphasize for those wanting to license their work. I enjoy seeing the lightbulb go on when PROSODY finally clicks. It is truly satisfying to watch someone turn a vague feeling into a structured arrangement.
