About Drew
I hold a Master of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a concentration in Policing and have nearly a decade of experience working in both institutional and community corrections. I am a certified instructor and my professional experience has given me firsthand experience in identifying gang members and investigating gang-related violence, de-escalation tactics for people experiencing a mental health crisis, evidentiary procedures, rehabilitative programming using evidence-based practices, search and seizure as it relates to 4th Amendment rights, investigative procedures, and collaboration with law enforcement agencies at all levels.

When teaching, it is important to meet students where they are, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Lessons can vary depending on the topic, but are rooted in evidence-based practices, accepted theories, and a dose of real-life experience and/or case studies to allow students to put the content into perspective.
