About Crystal
I went to Tennessee Technological University to obtain my Master of Science in biology. I worked there as a teaching assistant and, for three years, I was responsible for three-fourths of those students' grades. I worked as a wildlife biologist for the state of Florida for some years before becoming a high school teacher. I have taught science and I have taught students with special needs, mainly students with autism. Over the years I have had knowledge of very private matters involving my students. Some of those things came to me by way of student files and sometimes students came to me for help. Either way, I was always discreet and kind. I believe in leading with kindness and care.

I meet my students where they are. I have no preconceived ideas of where they "should" be. We all learn at our own pace. I take pride in knowing that the guidance counselors at my schools would take students who were falling behind in other classes and put them in my classes. They knew that I would take the time to give these students individual care. I feel comfortable teaching K-12 biology and life sciences, along with environmental science and ecology. I worked for the state of Florida as a wildlife biologist before teaching. I also feel comfortable teaching college-level biology 101 and 102 as well as zoology.
