About Patricia
I have been a tutor for several years and have developed good relationships with my students. I think many are surprised that I'm so easy to work with and how comfortable they become with having a tutor. I feel like I understand their struggles and try my best to give them the support they need. I excel at writing, and believe it's a teachable skill. My greatest compliment is when my students develop their skills in that area and tell me how much I've helped them.

I typically try to establish what my students' interests are in the subject matter or why they find the subject challenging. A typical lesson plan would include an overview of the requirements their teacher has for the class and how I can can help develop a plan for their work. I have had good success in preparing struggling students for exams and helping them achieve confidence in their academic pursuits. I have had a strong connection with elementary and middle school students particularly in the area of language arts and reading.
