About Ideal
My focus, as a tutor, is in fostering a genuine enjoyment and interest in maths and physics. I believe that all students have an intuitive and inherent love for these subjects, but that some students have not interacted with the maths and physics in ways that make sense to them. My speciality is in finding areas of misunderstanding and showing them how sensible and indeed beautiful those areas are. This invariably translates to much improved performance at school and in exams, as there is no substitute for true understanding.

I have tutored GCSE and A-level Maths and Physics for 4 years whilst completing my BSc and MSc in Physics. My lessons are usually 2 hours long but I retain flexibility.
My lessons focus on finding the inherent misunderstandings of the student and then finding ways to ensure the student understands. This typically involves the tutee doing a past-paper, which I will then look at and highlight areas to focus on. I will then work with the student to break down misconceptions through targeted questions and practice.
