Hi, I’m a singing tutor with over 7 years of experience and a Licentiate of Music in Voice. I specialize in working with adult beginners, hobbyists, and those returning to singing after a long break. My lessons are rooted in creating a low-pressure, welcoming space where your voice can grow at your own pace. I focus deeply on breathwork, vocal relaxation, posture, and mindful awareness in music. These elements help unlock your natural voice while reducing tension and building confidence. Whether you’re singing for joy, stress relief, or personal growth, I aim to make the experience both empowering and enjoyable. I teach a wide range of genres including Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Contemporary Adult styles. I love helping students explore tone development and emotional connection through their unique sound. Singing can be an incredible form of self-care and creative expression—especially for adults who are ready to reconnect with their voice. About the lesson

For both *The Fiddler* and *The Music Major*, building vocal confidence is the foundation. Each lesson begins with personalized warm-ups and breathing exercises that align with their unique musical backgrounds—whether it's intuitive playing or formal training. Pitch accuracy is tackled through targeted ear training using apps that sharpen listening and matching skills. These tools help *The Fiddler* translate instinct into precision, while *The Music Major* refines their already sharp ear.

To foster vocal expression, we explore storytelling through lyrics, emphasizing emotional connection over perfection. Vocal health is a priority, with routines that include hydration tips, gentle cooldowns, and posture alignment. *The Fiddler* benefits from linking vocal phrasing with instrumental flow, creating a natural transition between their fiddle and voice. *The Music Major*, accustomed to structure, thrives with technical drills and complex harmonies.

Progress is tracked through recordings—students hear their growth, build self-awareness, and celebrate milestones. Metronomes ensure rhythmic control, crucial for both free-flowing and classically trained styles. Encouragement is constant. Every step forward, no matter how small, builds the confidence that transforms a student into a performer.
