About Karissa
After completing my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Elementary in December 2020 and becoming a certified teaching candidate in the State of Massachusetts, I eagerly continued to pursue my education. After finishing my undergraduate coursework, I was hired into two long-term substitute teaching positions, while working towards my Master's in Education as a Math Specialist and playing softball at the collegiate level. Since then, I have completed my master's program and have enjoyed working with students to meet their math goals. I have loved math ever since I was a young learner and have completed various high-level math courses through high school and college. Through tutoring, my hope is to ultimately help your student become more familiar with math concepts they will and are learning in the classroom.

Mathematics is a content area many students would admit to disliking. While the overall goal is not expecting students to arrive at the idea of absolutely loving math, I will provide students will strategies and skills that will help them be successful and feel comfortable solving a variety of math problems.
