About Maddie
I am a Masters of Professional Psychology student and I am extremely passionate about mental health and sharing knowledge I have been taught in both my university degree and Lifeline experience. I began my university degree with a credit average and due to a goals-orientated and personalised learning approach I finished my honours year with a High Distinction average and a First Class Honours. I have helped many friends with improving their work over the years, such as helping with study skills and reading through essays looking for grammatical issues and ways to improve the argument. I am an organised and calm person and I have been taught amazing communication skills through my Lifeline volunteer training and I believe this would transfer to a tutoring environment. I have learnt a lot through my psychology degree, including some of the do's and don'ts of how to approach different subjects and I would love to have the opportunity to share this with other students.

My teaching method is to create a goal-orientated and personalised lesson plan for all students, as everyone learns at a different pace and in different ways. I will always take a strengths-based approach, by recognising the areas that students are confident in and using this to apply to areas of difficulty. I am a very patient person but I will also be expecting my students to be collaborative and be willing to put in the work to get the marks they desire. I am excited to work with like-minded people who are passionate about psychology!
