About Nasreen
Hello! My name is Nasreen, and I am an experienced Mathematics educator with a Master’s degree in Mathematics Education and over 10 years of teaching experience.
I currently teach Mathematics online to Year 5 and Year 6 learners following the British International curriculum. I also have extensive experience teaching Mathematics to Grades 4–7.
My teaching approach is patient, supportive, and learner-centred. I break down challenging concepts into simple, manageable steps while helping students develop strong problem-solving skills and confidence in Mathematics.

I am an experienced Mathematics educator with over 10 years of teaching experience and a Master’s degree in Mathematics Education. I specialise in helping primary and KS2 learners develop strong mathematical foundations, improve their problem-solving skills and, most importantly, build confidence in Maths.
My teaching approach is patient, supportive and learner-centred. I believe that every child learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to suit each learner’s individual needs, strengths and areas for development. Rather than simply giving learners answers, I guide them through the thinking process so that they understand the “why” behind the Maths and become more independent learners.
I have extensive experience teaching Grades 4–7 Mathematics and have taught in both South Africa and internationally. My international teaching experience has given me exposure to different curricula and teaching approaches, allowing me to support learners from different educational backgrounds.
A typical lesson begins by identifying what the learner already understands and where they need support. We then work through concepts using clear explanations, examples, guided practice and questions that encourage mathematical thinking. Lessons are interactive and paced according to the learner, with opportunities to practise skills and address any misconceptions along the way.
My lessons are aimed primarily at KS2 learners, particularly Years 3–6, who need additional support, confidence building, consolidation of schoolwork or preparation for assessments such as SATs. I also welcome learners who are already doing well but want to strengthen their mathematical understanding and challenge themselves further.
I am proficient in English and teach my Mathematics lessons in English. My goal is to create a relaxed and encouraging learning environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their confidence in Maths.
