About Sinoxolo
Hello and welcome! My name is Sinoxolo Soya, and I’m excited to be part of your learning journey. I am a dedicated and passionate educator with a strong background in Geography and Geographical Information Systems (GIS). I hold a Bachelor of Science in Geosciences and Honors in GIS at Nelson Mandela University, and I am currently studying towards my Master's in Geography. I have experience teaching both at high school and university levels, including subjects such as Geography and GIS. I am proficient in English and Afrikaans, and I teach comfortably in both languages to ensure that every student feels supported and confident in their learning.

My teaching approach is grounded in creating an inclusive, interactive, and student-centered learning environment, which promotes critical thinking and Geosciences innovators. I am proficient in English and Afrikaans. In a typical lesson, students can expect firstly an in-depth explanation of the concepts, thereafter interesting facts that would aid the understanding of a particular concept, and a welcoming space to ask questions and receive constructive feedback. My lessons are designed for high school students (Grades 8–12) as well as university learners studying Geography, GIS, or related fields. I also support students preparing for exams, working on assignments, or developing practical skills in GIS software.
