About Cindy
Hi! My name is Cindy, welcome to my services! I received my B.S. in Chemistry from U.C. Berkeley and Ph.D. in Chemistry from Northwestern University. Currently, I am a materials engineer at Intel, developing cutting-edge technology for microprocessors. I have a strong passion for Chemistry, which drove me to excel in my coursework and research. Since high school, I have received 5s on AP exams on a wide variety of STEM subjects (Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, Calculus, Computer Science, etc.). In college, I graduated with highest honors in my department. Continuing to graduate school, I published over 15 research articles in the top nanotechnology and chemistry journals. Whether or not you decide to pursue Chemistry as a career, I am excited to pass that passion down to YOU, the next generation of students!!

I offer 1:1 lessons for various Chemistry courses from high school to undergraduate levels (ex. high school honors Chemistry, AP Chemistry, undergraduate general chemistry, physical chemistry, quantum mechanics, statistical mechanics, and inorganic chemistry).
I will not only guide you through the homework and exam questions, but also ensure that you take home a deeper understanding of the course concepts. Chemistry is a fascinating field that can help us understand the world around us!
Tutoring sessions will be student-led. That means, you can send me any materials or problems from your course that you would like to us to review. I will go over these beforehand to prepare for our session. During a typical 1 hour class, we will review any questions you have for me. Then, time permitting, I will have practice questions for you to test your understanding. I like to have my students stay ahead of the class schedule. That means, preparing for your lectures a week before so that lecture is more of a review to solidify your understanding!
I previously tutored an undergraduate student at Northwestern University for her quantum mechanics course. Throughout the semester, she improved from scoring 60-70% on exams to over 95%! But, more importantly, she gained a deep love for Chemistry, propelling her to do research in a world-renowned research group.
