About Mehek

Coming from a humble background with immigrant parents, it's always been important to me to teach others who might not have access to an education and to make learning affordable and accessible. I have been teaching for five years online way before the pandemic even started so I am well versed in applying technological tools at my fingertips to make the lesson as interactive as possible. I enjoy making practical, pragmatic, and real world connections to problem solving. I teach differently than others because I put less emphasis on passing the test, getting good grades, and getting the right answer and more emphasis on learning the material and engagement. My students always come back to me with questions whether they are philosophical or out of curiosity with the quest for learning. Tutoring for me started when some of my colleagues in trade school were struggling with binary math. Math and science and even writing and Spanish are my favorite subjects to teach.

About the lesson

I am very efficient and down to earth!

My lesson plan includes briefly explaining the concept.
Making analogies to real life scenarios (given my years worth of engineering experience)
Going over problems and sufficient number of examples so the students understand the concepts and are engaged!
