About Zachary

My name is Zachary Russell and I am currently studying Medical science at Sydney University. I love playing basketball, reading and spending time with my girlfriend. I am 18 years old and currently work at Bronte Public School as a carer in their after-school care program. I have been tutoring Math and science for 1 year and am keen to also tutor English if necessary. I achieved a 90 or above in all my subjects in my HSC in 2023, with a 91 in extension 2 Math and a 97 in extension 1 Math.

About the lesson

I like to teach people from years K-12 for 1 or 2 hours. I have a lot of experience working with kids, as I am currently working at an after-school care program as well as lots of experience tutoring. I like to teach using a number of exercises and problems to ensure my tutee thoroughly understand the concepts. For extension 2 math only, I charge $65 an hour and $5 for travel time due to the complexity of the subject.

Perfect! Zachary has been tutoring my 2 Year-8 sons in Maths, and after only 3 lessons they have told me that they gain a much better understanding of what they are learning in class, and that any areas or questions they are unsure of get clarified after meeting with Zachery.

ON a personal level, Zachereary is a pleasant, polite person, and both my sons get along well with him and appreciate the value he is adding to their overall Maths comprehension. And for the first time they felt that they did well in their Maths Exam!

Zachary tutored my brother a year ago for mathematics. I think Zachary is a great tutor as he actively engages with those he teaches and creates a happy and friendly environment for them to learn in. He likes to befriend his students before he teaches them, to the extent that my brother thought of him more as a best friend that a tutor. Zachary likes to teach in a calm and slow manner, ensuring the child understands each step before moving on.
