About Tasneem
I hold a degree in Climate Change from Maynooth University and am currently pursuing a PhD in Climate Change and Oceanography at ATU, Sligo. My passion for teaching maths and science has grown over the years, especially as I’ve come to understand the challenges students face in truly grasping these subjects.
One common issue I’ve observed is that many students attempt to solve problems mechanically, without engaging in deeper analytical thinking. I can relate to this personally, as a student, I also struggled with problem-solving at first. However, I gradually discovered that mastering the fundamentals is the key. Once the basics are clear, practicing a wide range of problems not only reinforces core concepts but also builds the confidence and flexibility needed to tackle more advanced challenges.
Frustration is a natural part of this learning process, especially when initial attempts lead to incorrect answers. But with persistence, students develop a much stronger understanding of both the theory and its real-world applications. My goal as a tutor is to guide students through this journey,helping them build a solid foundation, develop problem-solving skills, and ultimately enjoy the learning process.

My teaching approach is centered on building a strong foundation in the basics, which makes it easier for students to approach and solve a wide variety of problems with confidence. Each lesson is one hour long and tailored to meet the needs of Junior Certificate, Leaving Certificate, and bachelor students in STEM.
I hold bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physics, as well as a master’s degree in climate change. In addition to my academic background, I have prior experience tutoring math and physics for competitive exams,which has equipped me with a versatile and results-driven teaching style.
