My teaching style focuses on understanding fundamental concepts rather than memorizing 'tricks', as some feel is required for math. My personal experience with math is that often students will miss the bigger or the deeper understanding of a topic, whereas I find the more mature understanding of a subject will result in better scores and more confidence overall.
