About William
I am a patient, enthusiastic, and professional teacher. I have worked with students from many different backgrounds for over 15 years. I have worked with students ranging from university students at a top-10 university (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Department of Physics), to helping students at local community colleges (Heartland Community College, Lincoln College, and Rock Valley College), to high school students taking gifted or remedial math (Auburn High School, Rockford, IL).

I love math and science! I love helping people make connections and "get it" when looking at these subjects. In one-on-one tutoring sessions, I focus on guiding questions to help students discover how and why things work the way they do. This helps you not only learn the material, but also remember and apply the concepts, as they will be more natural and intuitive. In group sessions, I try to focus on conceptual understanding first, and then the calculations and problem-solving generally follows naturally. I work mostly with high school and college students, as I have over 15 years of experience teaching this age group. I am a patient and enthusiastic teacher. I look forward to meeting you!
