About Daniel
Hi! My name is Dan. I am a postdoctoral researcher in the chemistry department at Columbia University and hold a PhD in biophysics from Yale University and a degree in chemistry from Haverford College (magna cum laude). I am passionate about all things STEM, especially the amazing moments when biology, chemistry, and physics intersect. This is the nature of my current and past scientific research. I offer lessons for high school students in math, physics, chemistry, and biology and for college students in MCAT preparation and other STEM subjects, including basic programming. Prepare not only to understand the material better, but to gain a fresh perspective on it that you can use to help others improve their understanding! My teaching method involves digging deep into the origins of a topic to establish lasting understanding, as opposed to a more superficial understanding based on unnecessary memorization.
