About Raza
My hard work over the years has yielded mastery of the subjects I teach. At Rutgers, I have consistently excelled in my coursework, earning A's in Statistics, Chemistry 1&2, Biology 1&2, Physics 1&2, and Biochemistry. This past year at Rutgers, I have been working as a Chemistry Lab Teaching Assistant (TA). As for standardized tests, I scored an 730 on the SAT math section (97th percentile) and a 129 on the Biology/Biochemistry section on the MCAT (90th percentile). I earned my EMT certification in 2021, and I am continuing to volunteer as an 911 Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) this summer at the Kendall Park First Aid and Rescue Squad.

Hi! My name is Raza Syed, and I am an incoming senior at Rutgers University, currently applying for medical school. With a passion for teaching and a track record of academic excellence, I am excited to offer my tutoring services to help you or your child excel in math and science.

I am a huge proponent of group tutoring - I find that students tend to learn better and concentrate for longer when they are with their friends. Plus, for each extra student, my rate decreases by 20%. Previously, I have offered mini prep courses for students looking to get a head start for next year's classes. Last summer, I created a geometry prep course for three 9th grade students. We used to meet 2-3 times a week to learn the material, and I’d assign homework for them to work on between sessions. By the end of the summer, we were able to get through the first trimester of material.
