I am an "addictive" sports-fan from New England- especially for the Patriots. Love Tom Brady, whatever team he serves. I am the eldest of eight. Seven times Mom asked: Want a brother/sister? Seven times I said: NO! As I said: the ELDEST of eight. Though I said NO! seven times, I don't know which of my kin I'd send back. :) What's YOUR background like? I teach and learn at all times. I'd be crazy if I thought I know more than a class knows. All of us are brilliant, though some of you haven't found how gifted you are- YET.
I am happiest when teaching and learning. Some don't know this but I continually learn from you. When I see each of my students, I think of ROOTS in which the parent holds up the new-born child toward the sky and brags: Daughter/Son, look up at the night sky and see the only person greater than you- your Maker and the One who loves you unconditionally.
Please ask me to repeat or re-word anything that you don't understand- in the text or from my mouth. Never be shy about asking a question. There is at least one other person at that moment who is glad you asked.
I've been dyslexic my entire life. Recently I called a woman IGGY. Her actual name is GIGI. I practiced the number 2 until I was blue in the face. Not only am I A.D.D. I'm A.D.H.D.; that's adding HYPER to Attention Deficit Disorder. I am easily bored and so I recognize when you're bored. I keep class moving and changing so that no one in the room- especially me- wants to swing from the lights to pay attention. I don't know how to say it any other way: my liabilities have made me a better teacher. And my time with you will help you to overcome many of your own struggles. Like yourself. I haven't even met you YET and I already like you!
