About Lisa
I enjoy learning, and want to pass that on to my students. I will pursue my doctorate degree in the fall in Neuroscience or Instructional Design/Curriculum with an emphasis in Brain Science. I aim to not only tutor math but to work on critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills. I want to make sure my students are engaged during our lessons and believe students learn from mistakes. I am professional and have patience.

My lessons are interactive. I adapt to my student's needs by analyzing their learning preference and how they are most likely to retain and apply the information. I find that using students' interests will allow me to design lessons for them that are more engaging and understanding. I will design and create or research lessons outside of the tutoring hours to meet the requirements for my students to be successful. I have experience with all grade levels, and can follow students as they go up in grades. I am a certified teacher that will be able to reach out to the student's classroom teacher as well.
