About Kaia
As a Maths tutor with 9+ years of teaching experience and a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics, I have helped students achieve success in IB and A-Level exams. My teaching style focuses on developing conceptual clarity, ensuring that students understand the principles behind the methods. Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics are my key areas of expertise, where I bring structure and confidence to learners. I emphasise problem-solving through multiple approaches, showing students that Mathematics allows flexibility in thinking. Past paper practice is a regular part of my lessons, helping students strengthen exam techniques. This approach also builds time management and accuracy. Each session is interactive, with opportunities for questions and active participation. I believe that learning works best when students are fully engaged. My teaching is always tailored to the individual’s needs, ensuring targeted improvement. Over time, students grow in both skill and confidence. I focus on making challenges feel manageable, breaking big problems into smaller steps. With patience and practice, Mathematics becomes less daunting. I cover key areas such as Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics, and also help learners progress in Calculus and advanced topics. For exam takers, I provide focused past paper practice and strategies for managing time and pressure. Career switchers find my approach useful in strengthening their analytical and reasoning abilities. Lessons are always interactive, where students are encouraged to ask questions and apply different approaches to problems. I emphasise learning through practice and encourage students to treat mistakes as part of the process. Over time, this approach builds resilience and independence in problem-solving. Real-world examples are included to make learning meaningful and connected to practical use. My ultimate goal is to help students master Maths as both an academic subject and a life skill. With consistent support and structured guidance, every learner can grow stronger in mathematical thinking. Together, we work step by step toward success and confidence.
