About Jeannie

As an educator with 15 years of experience in elementary and middle school, I am passionate about helping students build confidence and succeed in math. I have taught fifth-grade math for seven years, sixth-grade math for one year, and Gifted and Talented for seven years. My experience allows me to tailor lessons to each student's individual learning style, needs, and goals. In my Gifted and Talented program, I incorporate engaging STEAM activities that connect math concepts to real-world problem-solving. I was honored to be named both Site Teacher of the Year and District Teacher of the Year. In addition to teaching, I serve as a district technology educator, helping teachers and students use educational apps and websites to enhance learning. I also mentor new teachers, sharing effective strategies, practical tips, and technology tools to help them reach every learner. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down difficult concepts into manageable steps while encouraging curiosity, perseverance, and independent thinking. I believe every student can grow with personalized instruction, patience, and the right support. My goal is to make math less intimidating, strengthen essential skills, and help every student experience the confidence that comes with understanding and success.

My teaching approach focuses on making math understandable, engaging, and enjoyable. I break down challenging concepts into manageable steps, use real-world examples and hands-on activities, and adapt my teaching methods to each student's learning style and ability level. I encourage questions, celebrate progress, and help students develop problem-solving skills and confidence.
