About Ivy
Math becomes truly meaningful when it connects to everyday life, and that’s exactly what my lessons aim to do. Together, we explore how mathematical thinking shapes real-world financial decisions. From understanding how interest grows over time to learning how loans and investments work, each concept is explained in clear, practical terms. We’ll dive into topics like budgeting, savings, and risk analysis, using real financial situations to bring numbers to life. You’ll see how simple formulas can help make smarter money choices. Every lesson is designed to build confidence, encouraging you to think critically and apply what you learn to your personal goals. Whether it’s calculating returns, comparing loan offers, or planning expenses, you’ll gain hands-on experience using math to solve problems that matter. My approach focuses on clarity and understanding, ensuring that every concept feels achievable and relevant.

With over 10 years of experience teaching mathematics and an MSc in Mathematical Modelling, I’ve dedicated my career to exploring how math helps us understand the world around us. My passion lies in applying mathematical ideas to the social sciences, where numbers and patterns reveal the hidden dynamics of human behavior. I’m particularly drawn to network theory and agent-based modeling, which uncover how individuals connect, interact, and influence one another.
Through these tools, I study how social structures form, how information or diseases spread, and how collective behavior emerges in societies. I love sharing this perspective with my students, showing them that mathematics is not just abstract it’s a lens through which we can understand people, systems, and communities. My lessons bridge theory and application, guiding students to use equations and models to make sense of real-world issues.
I focus on building both analytical precision and creative thinking. Students learn to approach quantitative methods as tools for discovery, not just computation. My teaching aims to make mathematics engaging, relevant, and empowering.
