About Derek
I hold a bachelor degree in math education, and PhDs in math from China and Canada (UWO) respectively. I have fifteen years of experience teaching and tutoring math in both high school and university levels.
Combining the divergent thinking of western education with the logical thinking of eastern education, I always teach math clearly and thoroughly so that students not only understand WHAT but more importantly understand WHY. Over the years, my excellence in math teaching and tutoring has been recognized by students and their parents.

Combining the divergent thinking of western education with the logical thinking of eastern education, I always teach math clearly and thoroughly so that students not only understand WHAT but more importantly understand WHY.
On the one hand, by mastering the WHAT and WHY of each knowledge point, the students will have a very clear thread and idea for every building block, consequently lay a solid math foundation. On the other hand, by analyzing various problems (from textbooks and math contests), students' ability to solve math problems will be greatly improved.
