About Davis
I was born and raised in Vancouver, BC, and throughout my elementary and high school life, sports was a significant part of it. I had to learn how to manage my time effectively using efficient studying techniques. I took 8 Advanced Placement courses in high school, and I am now attending McGill University for Civil Engineering. I have been working with elementary and high school students through sports for the past 5 years, including private coaching and tutoring for the past 2 years.

My methodology varies from student to student, with different learning techniques working better for certain students. For classes in the STEM field, conceptual knowledge will be key, in addition to consistent practice. I have put these practices through late elementary school and high school achieving Honours with Distinction, and carried it over to University.
I have worked with a lot of younger students and athletes through swimming and track coaching. This involved teaching new techniques and concepts to athletes as young as 8 years old.
I believe one of the most important parts about tutoring and working with students, is being able to get them to understand where they may be falling short, understanding how they can improve that, and working towards consistent positive results in that area of issue.
