About Victor
Hello, I'm Victor, a teacher and software engineer who loves making math and physics feel clear and approachable. I hold a Bachelor of Education in Science (mathematics and physics) from Moi University and am a registered secondary school teacher. I have taught mathematics in the classroom and coached young learners in coding and robotics.
Alongside teaching, I work as a freelance software engineer and hold professional certifications in data analytics and data science (Google and IBM). This means I can teach statistics and data topics with real-world, practical examples, not just theory.
I'm especially passionate about helping students who learn differently. I have experience using technology to adapt lessons to each student's pace and learning style, so every learner can build confidence and see real progress.

My approach
I'm a trained, registered secondary teacher with a Bachelor of Education in Science (mathematics and physics), plus a background in data analytics. I believe anyone can understand math and physics when concepts are broken into small, logical steps and tied to real examples. I never just hand over answers. I explain the "why" behind each method so you can solve new problems on your own.
A typical lesson
We start with a quick review of the previous topic and any homework questions.
I introduce or revisit a concept with a clear explanation and a worked example.
You attempt practice problems while I guide you, correct mistakes and give hints.
We finish with a short summary and a tailored exercise set to practise before the next session.
What sets me apart
Classroom teaching experience in mathematics, plus experience coaching children in coding and robotics.
Statistics and data analysis taught with real datasets and tools like Python, so the subject feels practical rather than abstract.
Experience adapting lessons to different learning styles and paces, including students who need extra support or a different approach.
Patient, encouraging sessions that build confidence as well as grades.
Who the lessons are for
Middle school, high school and early college students studying algebra, calculus, statistics or physics, as well as adult learners who want to refresh their skills. I can help with homework, exam preparation, or building strong foundations from scratch.
