About Ahmad

My name is Ahmad. I consider myself an individual who possesses the utter ability to keep learning and one who loves problem-solving.

I have experience tutoring my siblings, my siblings' classmates, and have tutored my friend's children ages 14-16. I have been tutoring for about two years now. I am also able to tutor students up to age 18.

I resemble myself as an individual who is passionate to tutor a subject (or two) that I know very well. I consider myself detail-oriented, organized, patient, and understanding.

Engaging with students about class-work, home-work, and projects is something valuable to me as it would make me improve as a tutor; how my methods would impact the student; how I would adapt to certain things that would likely improve the student's performance.

Keeping up with your studies is difficult, no doubt, and this is other than the responsibilities/duties you have to maintain. I am able to tell you that I know how it feels. I am currently a college student studying mechanical engineering, however, I have started college at the age of 24. There were a lot of reasons why I was not able to go to college. I can tell you at least two reasons: Covid-19 pandemic and financial matters. I was able to overcome these issues and am proud of myself of reaching this point.

Having said that, if I was able to reach this point in my life, then you are also able to reach a specific point in your life and studies with the help of your surroundings, the right tools, and most importantly, your will.

I am gratified and cannot wait to meet and interact with future students.

Thank You.

My methodology is encouragement and tapping into their curiosity with why a particular subject is important, how to think differently, and convince my students that self-reflection is essential. First and foremost, I have to write down what I would think would be an interesting, engaging, and convenient session with the student. A typical lesson I would construct is friendly and brief introductions, diving into the material straight on (without pushing them negatively), and putting effort to creating excitement in engaging in concepts and word-problems. On that point, also engaging into potential real-world applications of mathematical and physics concepts. In the end of my lesson plan, I would inform the student to attempt to take 15 minutes of his/her time to write a reflection of the session that just took place. As for me, I will also reflect on what took place and how I can improve in the future. I consider myself an individual who copes with the frustrations of students and tell them it is ok to feel this way, and motivate them to continue on their school journey. Motivation is a start, but consistency is key. As for the grades I can teach, I am comfortable with teaching from Grade 8 to Grade 12 in both Mathematics(including Advanced Functions & Calculus) and Physics.
