About Katie
I am a mom of 3 who teaches math and Physical Education. I love teaching because I enjoy seeing my students succeed. Believe it or not, I hated math at school and I often tell my students this because it makes me seem more relatable; however, I remind them that I chose this job so students like me could have the teacher I needed when I was at school. The teacher that knows how you learn best, that cares about their students' success and most importantly, they make math fun.

I really enjoy a chat and physical activity which is why I embed these things within my sessions. A strong professional teacher student relationship paramount when aiming for success so getting to know them is very important and handy when it comes to planning sessions. I like to get students up and moving during math.Whether Thats outside measuring things and finding shapes or performing exercises in order to calculate data and statistics. Making math fun is key to students finding success.
