About Colleen
I've been teaching at a school that let's the students pick their teacher. I have had many students take a class just so they can have me teach them again. Student's return from college just to tell me that what I taught them has helped them in their college classes or to tell me that I was their "favorite Math teacher ever"
I use humor, colors and simple sayings to keep students' interest and to help them remember the concepts. I have recently retired from full-time teaching, but I still want to help students learn and love Math.
Before teaching full-time, I had a part-time tutoring business for about 10 years. I averaged 50 students per/year and never advertised. Their improved grades and word of mouth is all the advertising I needed.

I have techniques that break down fears and let you learn in less time. I love seeing the "aha" look on a student's face. Iusually have at least 3 ways to explain concepts, so, if the first one doesn't work, we can try something else. I enjoy incorporatiing the student's learning style into how I teach them.
