About Melissa
I have worked in tutor centers with students of all ages for over 6 years and am extremely passionate about teaching and building students' confidence in mathematics. It is a tough subject for many, so I plan to use different teaching methods to ensure that my students are able to learn in the best way. I demonstrate a certain enthusiasm for teaching math and keep students engaged that lead me to becoming a math teacher. I'm excited and hopeful in helping my students be successful.

Seeing students succeed is my ultimate motivation. My main focus is making mathematics relevant to students' lives and guiding them in understanding the concepts they may be struggling with. I have experience in creating lesson videos as well: 5-7 minute videos that are short and to the point and provide students with a deeper understanding of the material. My goal is to make students independent thinkers and the first step is engaging with the student and making learning fun.
