About Wagner
With a Master in pure mathematics with 4 years of teaching experience along with a BA in pure mathematics and knowledge to drive and encourage students across the age and capacity range. Maintaining excellent teaching, education, and behavior management plans to help students accomplish their potential. I have received a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Lehman College and am expected achievement of my MA in Mathematics with Lehman College.
While my BA, I supported peers in my class with their homework and test preparation. Inside of school, I tutor high school and college students one-on-one for the last five years in Mathematics. After my BA, I've been accomplishing my MA and will be achieving the degree over the following several months.
I am the duty of the student’s tendencies and strengths. My tutoring techniques allow the learner to fully appreciate their topic externally becoming frustrated with themselves. I can adjust to their knowledge skills and give them the biggest method to absorb up the learning.

My math tutoring focuses on building foundational understanding and confidence through a student-centered approach, moving away from rote memorization toward conceptual clarity. Techniques include Socratic questioning, scaffolding complex problems, visual modeling, and real-world applications.
Typical Lesson Plan (60 min):
Review (10 min): Warm-up problems to review previous concepts and address homework questions.
Introduction & Modeling (15 min): Introducing new content using visual tools, followed by "I do, we do" guided practice.
Active Practice (25 min): Independent problem-solving with immediate feedback and, if necessary, scaffolding to break down tricky steps.
Wrap-up (10 min): A quick "exit ticket" problem to check mastery, recap main ideas, and assign targeted follow-up work.
What Sets Me Apart:
I create a non-judgmental space where mistakes are viewed as learning opportunities. My teaching is customized to the student’s learning style, utilizing personalized, interactive digital whiteboards to make abstract ideas concrete. I focus heavily on "why" formulas work, not just "how".
