About Victor
Math doesn’t have to feel intimidating, confusing, or out of reach and that belief sits at the center of my teaching.
I’m a patient, structured, and results-driven math tutor who works with students of all levels, from elementary school learners building foundational skills to college students navigating algebra, statistics, and higher-level math. My goal is simple: help students understand math, not just memorize steps.
Over time, I’ve worked with students who felt “bad at math,” anxious about exams, or stuck because one missing concept snowballed into bigger confusion. What I’ve learned is that most math struggles aren’t about intelligence, they’re about how the material was introduced. Once the logic clicks, confidence follows.
As a teacher, I’m calm, encouraging, and methodical. I break complex ideas into clear, manageable steps, meet students exactly where they are, and help them rebuild confidence alongside skill. Parents appreciate that I don’t rush or overwhelm, and students appreciate that I explain things in a way that actually makes sense.
Whether your child needs support with basic arithmetic, help preparing for tests and exams, or you’re a student aiming to strengthen algebra, improve grades, or get ahead in coursework, I focus on steady progress, clarity, and long-term understanding.
If you’re looking for a tutor who is patient, clear, and invested in real improvement, you’re in the right place. A first lesson is often all it takes to see that math can make sense.

My lessons are structured, personalized, and focused on real understanding, not shortcuts that fall apart later.
Every session begins by identifying where the difficulty actually starts. Many students struggle because of small gaps in foundational knowledge, so I take time to reinforce core concepts before moving forward. From there, lessons are paced to match the student’s learning style and academic goals.
WHAT I TEACH:
I cover a wide range of topics, including:
• Elementary & middle school math (basic operations, fractions, decimals, word problems)
• Pre-algebra & algebra
• Geometry
• Statistics
• College-level math support
• Homework help, exam preparation, and test review
HOW I TEACH:
Lessons are interactive and problem-focused. We work through examples together, practice independently, and review mistakes without pressure. I emphasize:
• Step-by-step problem solving
• Clear explanations of why formulas work
• Building confidence through repetition and understanding
• Developing logical thinking, not just answers
For younger students, lessons are engaging and confidence-building. For older students, lessons are practical, efficient, and aimed at improving grades and exam performance.
Parents gain peace of mind knowing their child is supported, and students leave each lesson with clearer understanding and tools they can apply immediately. Progress is measured, visible, and reinforced over time.
If you’re ready to build stronger foundations, improve performance, or simply feel more confident with math, booking a lesson is the first step toward making that change.

My daughter had been struggling with English for years, especially essay writing and comprehension, and nothing we tried seemed to click. When she started lessons with Victor, things changed faster than we expected. He knew exactly how to reach her.
She began breaking down literature texts on her own, writing stronger essays, and even practicing her speaking because she felt safe making mistakes around him. Her SAT English score jumped, but what mattered more to us was the confidence she gained.
She no longer hides her assignments or panics over tests. Victor gave her skills, but he also gave her belief in herself. As a parent, that’s invaluable.Studying English again as an adult felt intimidating, but Victor changed that for me. He has this calm, steady way of explaining things that makes even complicated grammar feel understandable. I came to him because I wanted to improve my writing for work, but he ended up helping me with everything, speaking, reading, and even understanding literature I’d avoided for years. What stood out most was his patience. He never rushed me, never made me feel behind. Bit by bit, my confidence grew. Now I write emails, reports, and presentations without second-guessing myself. Working with Victor genuinely reset the way I see myself as a learner.
Before working with Victor, English felt like the subject where I tried the hardest but still fell short. Essays were overwhelming, and literature analysis felt like guessing. Victor changed that quickly.
He teaches in a way that makes you actually understand the ‘why’ behind things, why a writer chose a certain technique, why your argument needs a clearer structure, why your grammar isn’t doing what you think it is.
He helped me prepare for my exams, rewrite my essays, and even improve how I speak in class. My grades improved, but honestly, the best part was that I stopped feeling lost. Victor makes English make sense.I started lessons with Victor because I needed to prepare for an important English exam, and I was completely overwhelmed. Victor didn’t just throw practice questions at me, he built a plan around my weaknesses. Reading comprehension, grammar drills, timed essays, speaking practice… he covered everything, and somehow still made each lesson feel personal.
His feedback is honest but encouraging, and he has a way of explaining mistakes that makes you want to improve instead of shutting down. By the time I wrote my SAT/IELTS practice tests, I was performing higher than I ever had. The day of the real exam, I walked in feeling prepared, not panicked.
Victor is one of those rare tutors who changes your performance and your mindset at the same time.View more recommendations
