About Kenneth

My teaching experience spans over 12 years. In 2011, while still a university undergraduate, I started tutoring high school and university mathematics. I worked for the University of Auckland as a tutor for small classes from 2011-2014. In 2013-14, I was the head tutor at The University of Auckland for MATHS108 and MATHS208. In 2015, I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Mathematics Education and went on to start a professional teaching career, teaching math at Kristin School on the North Shore. In 2018, I was the recipient of the Ernest Duncan Award, an award for the outstanding contribution to online math education. I now specialize in delivering online math education and am an expert in the field.

About the lesson

I always try to be personable and build relationships with young students. In general, I take an understanding approach to students, where I realize math can be difficult and some people even have a phobia of it. I give students a chance to think for themselves and show me what they have learned. I'm a big believer in learning through worked examples and problems. I have a huge database of resources, which I utilize in lessons and expert professional equipment to support online tuition. I keep things fun and personable, especially for younger children, where we sometimes play learning games which I have amassed through my teaching career. Lessons cost $55 for a 1-hour lesson.
