About Sheila
I've been a Math Tutor for over 20 years. I've taught Brazilians K-9 and Americans K-12. I've been teaching in both, English and Portuguese. Some of my students need help with a specific topic, or to study for one exam, but there are those who look for regular lessons all year long.

I adapt my methodology according to each student's interests and style of learning. I may use drawings, concrete objects, or show videos to add to my explanation of a subject. I work off of the school's material and try to find the techniques that student's teacher uses, not to get the student confused. But I also bring new techniques o class to help the student learn a specific topic. Besides working on the school's activities (tests, homework, etc.), I also bring to class new exercises on handouts and online.
