About Desirae
I started helping others understand Math at a young age. I know sometimes doing math problems can be questioned as “why am I learning this?” I know the anxiety of looking at a problem and thinking “am I solving it right”, “I will never get this.” I have seen many of my friends say this to themselves or to me. Hearing them talk like this encouraged me to help them. I loved doing it at no cost because I wanted them to feel that proud moment for solving it themselves. It makes me happy seeing others succeed and overcome a challenge they set for themselves.

I’ve loved math as a little girl and I love teaching it. When I was younger I did peer-to-peer support and received thanks. It has become a passion to help others understand Math. When I guide, I first look at the problem. Then make an example explaining step by step how to solve the problem. Before solving their homework, I give 1-2 examples until they are confident, then I ask them to solve their original problem. While they solve it, I put the answer on a separate sheet. Once they are finished, I show them the answer. This process has helped many times in the past. If you are interested, I can tell you I am confident to teach about every subject up to high school. Adding, subtracting, fractions, exponents, factoring, multiplying, dividing, algebra, trigonometry, and pre-calculus.
