About Mayumi
I am a student at New Trier High School. I work as an instructor at Mathnasium where I explain difficult math concepts to kids. I also volunteer at Inspired Youth Tutoring where I help and teach less privileged kids in Chicago.

My teaching method is to make the student feel that they CAN do math! Anyone can do math and I always try to help the student to the answer. I give hints to try to make a math problem make sense. If the math problem isn’t making sense to the student, I will try a different approach to explain what the question is asking.
