About the lesson

With over 7 years of experience and a BSc in Pure Mathematics, I specialise in teaching the mathematical foundations that drive artificial intelligence and machine learning. My sessions are tailored for students who aspire to become data scientists, AI engineers, or simply want to deepen their understanding of how maths powers intelligent systems. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into intuitive, digestible parts. From gradient descent and optimisation algorithms to the core linear algebra behind neural networks, I help learners grasp how maths fuels learning models. We also dive into probability theory and Bayesian inference, exploring how uncertainty is modelled in intelligent decision-making. I’ve worked with high schoolers prepping for advanced studies and university students building AI projects. I emphasise conceptual clarity and hands-on applications. Lessons include real-world problem-solving, visuals, and code-integrated examples to bridge maths with machine learning tools. Students learn how eigenvalues, matrices, and vector spaces form the backbone of deep learning. We also look at cost functions, convergence behaviour, and probabilistic reasoning in data-driven contexts.
