About Linda
I have taught school for 23 years. I taught geometry, algebra, and was a math coach for math contests. I also worked online for Montana Digital Academy for 7 years and I taught students to prepare for their HiSET in a program for students that needed a high school diploma. My educational background includes extensive classes for teacher improvement. My degree is a major in mathematics and secondary education in which I graduated with high honors. My experience involves working with students that struggle and students that want to expand their learning.

I teach for understanding. I show steps and relate math to real-world situations. My lessons start out with objectives and I check for understanding of previous mathematical terms. I show several examples of the mathematical concepts, then I have the students try some problems to see how they are understanding them. I also include games pertaining to the math concepts being taught that allow students to have fun while learning.
