About Angela
I have a PhD in economics, so I am very familiar with math and mathematical models. I have already given math courses for economists at university, and I have helped many students there as well as in numerous tutoring sessions not only to improve their math grades, but also to gain a new approach to math. One problem that I experience in math over and over again is that my students pull themselves down with sentences like "I just can't do math" etc. In most cases, however, this is not true, but simply a deeply rooted belief that blocks you from getting better at math. As a trained coach (I am a certfied coach from the Institute for Applied Positive Psychology in Berlin), I can also optimally support you on the psychological level :-).

I am Angie and I am happy to help you train your math brain. My areas of application range from working through the basics to selective support with homework and preparing for exams. The focus for me is always to support you, to have fun with math. In my view, the following points in school often make it difficult for you to develop an enthusiasm for math: 1) Everyone is chased through the material at the same pace 2) Often it just seems to be a matter of applying certain procedures as quickly as possible to a certain one Sort of solve problems. 3) There is only right or wrong and many are afraid of making mistakes. What is neglected in class and what I therefore focus on in my tutoring is the following. 1) You will learn to ask your own questions and translate these questions into mathematical formulas. 2) You learn to argue mathematically and understand why you do something instead of just reeling off memorized procedures. 3) You learn that mistakes are the only way your brain can learn something new. This will make you more courageous to make mistakes and allow you to find solutions creatively.
