About Rebecca

I am an IB (International Baccalaureate) Graduate and also graduated with the Dogwood Diploma with Honors. I currently studying General Sciences!

I have worked with students for over 5 years and have a multitude of experience with teaching students coding, reading and math at school and with the Richmond Public Library. I have coached basketball for the Richmond Youth Basketball League and I am currently a lifeguard and swim instructor for the City of Richmond.

About the lesson

Before I start tutoring students, I first like to have one-on-one get to know sessions with both the student and the parent to understand the needs of the student and the best way to achieve success.

Lessons can vary in time depending on the student and can range from anywhere between 30 minutes to 2-3 hours.

Students will be given homework after each lesson- typically mimicking what they wanted to work on as a guide for both me and the student to understand what they have grasped. I believe this homework shouldn't feel like a chore and should only take anywhere between 30-45 minutes.

After each session, a short, yet detailed report will be send to the parent as a progress report to understand what was covered and what will happen in the next class.
