About Joshua
Hello families!
My name is Joshua aka "Teacher J." I'm 37 years old and I currently live in Western NY. I have 10+ years of experience teaching in many different classroom environments. I have a MA in Childhood Special Education grades 1st-6th. I also have years of experience teaching/tutoring students in public schools, charter schools and now I teach online. It is very rewarding work.
My approach to teaching is simple, ‘every student learns and processes things differently.’ As a teacher, it's my job to help my students achieve academic success both inside and outside of the classroom. I provide a safe classroom environment where students can learn without fear of rejection and/or bullying.
