I believe all students are capable of doing math and that there are always numerous ways to approach and solve problems. Many times students are stuck because of how things have been explained to them and so I will work with the student to find their strengths and approach the problem from as many different ways as we need to to help the student find mastery in the content they are learning.
Hi! I am a math lover who has helped thousands of people alleviate the stress and anxiety they feel when taking mathematics courses. I have been teaching high school students for the last 5 years and am endorsed to teach from Pre-Algebra through Calculus. However, before I got my Masters in Teaching, I was math tutor and supplemental instruction leader for Statistics at a university; an academic coach and tutor that helped students with not only math, but also organizational skills, time management, test preparation and study skills; and an elementary school volunteer.
