About Risima
I am a BSc in IT graduate at the University of Johannesburg with a strong knowledge & interest in mathematics and problem solving. I am patient, reliable and comfortable explaining difficult concepts in a simple way. I understand that students learn at different speeds, so I try to create a relaxed environment where questions are encouraged and mistakes are part of the learning process.

I explain maths step by step and focus on helping students understand why a method works instead of only memorising formulae. Lessons can cover algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus and general mathematics.
I teach in English and adjust the pace depending on the student. A typical lesson includes going through difficult concepts, working through examples together and then practising similar questions. My lessons are mainly aimed at high-school learners and students who need help with introductory university-level mathematics or calculus.
