About Damon
I’m currently a second-year student at the University of Oxford reading Mathematics and Computer Science. I have 3+ years of experience doing private tuition in mathematics and physics, and am intimately familiar with 11+/GCSE/A-level syllabi and with the university admissions process. I care deeply about how mathematics is taught and enjoy inspiring students to greatly improve their skills.

I believe mathematics (and physics/computer science) is about a balance of intuition and formality. My aim is to get the student to discover as much as they can themselves. I will first discuss a variety of topics with any student to determine what needs work, and then we’ll go into the theory of particular subjects in depth, discussing different ways of thinking about what’s going on, before doing lots of practice questions to hone the student’s problem-solving ability.
