About Wenzeng
I have a genuine passion for STEM, which is why I'm pursuing it at the university level. However, I know that bad experiences with confusing curriculum topics can make students completely write off these amazing subjects. I teach because I want to change that narrative. By bringing energy, patience, and tailored problem-solving techniques to my lessons, I hope to inspire students not just to pass their exams, but to genuinely enjoy the logic and beauty of the subjects along the way.

I don't believe in passive lecturing or just reading from a textbook. My methodology relies on Active Recall, Scaffolded Problem Solving, and High-Impact Exam Strategy as well as Socratic questioning to help with a deeper level understanding of concepts.
Who the Lessons Are For:
GCSE (Foundation & Higher) and A-Level.
Ages: Typically 14 to 18 years old. Exam Boards Covered: AQA, Edexcel, and OCR. Who this is for: Whether a student is struggling to secure their pass (Grade 4/5 at GCSE) or aiming to push from an A to an A* for competitive university entry, lessons are fully tailored to their individual goals.
Typical Length of a Lesson
GCSE: 60 minutes is the sweet spot. It provides enough time for a concept deep-dive and focused exam practice without causing cognitive fatigue.
A-Level: 60 to 90 minutes. Because A-Level content requires deeper conceptual synthesis and lengthy, multi-step problem solving, a 90-minute session allows us to fully deconstruct complex exam questions without rushing.
Current Academic Standing: UCL [Mathematics and Physics].
Track Record: Achieved [A*A*AA] at A-Level and [five 9s, one 8, three sevens] at GCSE. Because I sat these exact exams recently, I have an intimate, up-to-date understanding of the current specification and pressure points.
Mentorship & Teaching Experience: Served as a Physics Prefect at my sixth form, where I was formally selected to support, guide, and mentor younger students navigating difficult STEM concepts. Also led targeted peer-to-peer tutorial sessions, on complex GCSE and A-Level curriculum topics into clear, digestible explanations for students struggling with their coursework.
