About Aran
My name is Aran O'Brien and I am a 21 year old male from County Waterford. I am hard working, punctual and compassionate for those I work with. As a passionate mathematics graduate, I’ve always been drawn to the problem-solving nature of math and the clarity it brings to complex ideas. My own educational journey has shown me that everyone approaches maths differently, and it’s this diversity in learning styles that motivates me to teach. I believe that individualized attention allows me to tailor lessons to each student’s unique strengths, pace, and challenges. Through personalized guidance, I aim to not only help students achieve their academic goals but also build their confidence and appreciation for mathematics as a powerful tool for thinking. Teaching one-on-one gives me the opportunity to make a real impact, by nurturing a deeper understanding and helping students overcome their hurdles, one step at a time.

- Methodology: All work we do will be tailored around Junior Cycle/Leaving Cert Examinations. Start by understanding their strengths and weaknesses, as well as their prior knowledge, to allow me to tailor your lessons to fill gaps and challenge their current level. For challenging topics, break problems into manageable parts. Gradually reduce support as the student gains confidence. Use online tools such as GeoGebra to visually demonstrate concepts, allowing students to manipulate variables and see immediate outcomes. Allow the student to learn at their own pace.
