About Lyra
My fascination with mathematics started during my Bachelor’s studies and deepened through a Master’s in Applied Mathematics. Over the past 9 years, I have helped students develop problem-solving skills, conceptual understanding, and analytical thinking across all levels of mathematics. My teaching philosophy emphasizes clarity, patience, structured explanation, and connecting abstract concepts to real-life examples, ensuring learners build both competence and confidence.
I structure lessons to support different learning levels, balancing theory, guided practice, and problem-solving challenges. Beginners solidify fundamental concepts and build confidence, intermediate learners strengthen reasoning and analytical skills, and advanced students tackle higher-level mathematics, proofs, and applied problem-solving. I encourage learners to question, explore, and approach mathematics with curiosity and persistence, cultivating a deep understanding that supports long-term academic growth.
Beyond teaching, I remain engaged with contemporary mathematical research, problem-solving competitions, and applied analytical projects. I bring these insights into lessons to inspire students and demonstrate mathematics’ relevance in real-world contexts. Observing learners grow from tentative beginners to confident, independent thinkers who can tackle complex problems with logic, insight, and perseverance is immensely satisfying. My ultimate goal is to foster mathematically capable, curious, and self-assured students who enjoy the process of thinking critically and solving problems creatively in all areas of life.

Mathematics becomes more accessible when students understand the logic and structure behind problems. I focus on algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and applied mathematics, using a clear, stepwise approach. Beginners learn foundational operations, problem-solving techniques, and conceptual understanding. Intermediate learners tackle equations, functions, graphing, probability, and basic modeling. Advanced learners explore advanced calculus, linear algebra, statistics, and mathematical proofs, building analytical and critical thinking skills necessary for higher-level academics.
Lessons are interactive, structured, and paced according to the learner’s needs. I use visual examples, step-by-step explanations, exercises, and real-life applications to ensure students grasp both the “how” and the “why” behind concepts. Practice problems, reasoning guidance, and analytical discussion reinforce learning while cultivating confidence. My goal is to help learners develop mathematical intuition, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills that extend beyond the classroom into academic and professional contexts.
Mathematics lessons equip learners with skills in reasoning, analysis, and structured thinking. Students gradually become confident in tackling complex problems, interpreting data, and applying mathematical concepts creatively. Over time, learners develop perseverance, critical thinking, and the ability to approach challenges methodically. My aim is to nurture independent, capable, and curious mathematicians who not only succeed in exams but also carry their analytical abilities into broader academic, professional, and personal pursuits.
